Prison population change

After gathering and cleaning data from the Department of Justice, I was able to take an indepth look into population trends in U.S. prisons since 1925.

After building a data set form nearly 100 years of information, I found that U.S. prison population reached its peak in 2008, and had been steadily rising since 1990 to nearly 11.5 million people - approximately 4% of the total population.

Palmer Penguins

Above you can see a visualization of the Palmer Penguins data set I built in R studio.

After loading the data set into R studio, I spent some time cleaning the data and ensuring propper formating, before finally using ggplot2 to build a scatter plot showing a positive correlation between body mass(in grams) and flipper length (in milimeters).
